Spring 2010 Update

Tuesday, April 20th, 2010

Hello again Clients and Friends:

Sorry it has been awhile since we’ve communicated here.  A recent scolding from our out-of-town kids reminded us we were overdue!

Winter and early Spring 2010 seasons have been busy and rewarding at Foreside Fitness & Tennis.  Our ongoing expansion of programs and services has kept everyone moving.  And the previously established business and Client growth trends have (fortunately) continued.

Tennis news:

-Welcome Woman’s Pro, Curran Burfeind of Falmouth.  Curran’s experience and warm style, both on and off the court, are a great addition.  Her personal brochure is available at the front desk.

-New themed programs ”Kids vacation Clinic”, “Valentine’s Day Mixer” and “Lady’s night out” were well attended.  We will continue to develop more ideas (let us know if you have one)!

-The new “clip board” postings display is up opposite the front desk.  We’ll also be utilizing lobby easels for better overall communications.

Fitness News:

-Welcome Aerobics Specialist Chris D’Appolonia.  Chris has brought her locally well known and popular “Boot Camp” program to FIT!

-New “Zumba” classes with trained instructors have been added to the aerobics program (full schedule of all weekly classes is on line).

-Two new X bikes have been purchased and installed to better accommodate the high demand for spinning classes.

We will continue to strive to recognize and offer more, healthy and innovative programs.  And we promise to do so in the areas most modern and hygenic tennis/fitness facility.

Special thanks to our valued Staff.

We appreciate your business and friendships,

Cathy & Jeff.

Fall ’09 Update & News

Thursday, September 17th, 2009

Hello again Clients & Friends:

We are pleased to be able to say, WE MADE IT THROUGH YEAR 1 AND ALL IS WELL (inaugural opening was 9/1/08)!

Paid Fitness Memberships actually increased over the Summer and now stand at 510.  Wet weather kept Tennis courts fuller than expected.  And Contract Seasonal Players have recommited at nearly 100%.  We’re seeing new inquires too, and we are poised for a strong busy season.

Entering our 2nd year, our commitment to you and your health will remain strong.  We pledge never to stop refining, modernizing and upgrading our products and facilities.  News here includes:

-Court environment; we purchased a new Commercial Wet Court Cleaner.  In addition to regular machine sweepings, we will now be power-washing surfaces too.  And all light fixtures have been recleaned and all light bulbs replaced 9/09.

-Fitness; new aerobics Instructors have been added to teaching Staff.  Expanded programming now includes the popular “Zumba” and “Kettle Ball” classes.

-We installed a powerful exhaust fan in our X-bike spinning room to enhance healthy ventillation.  All X-bikes were professionally tuned 9/09.

Also as always, we continue to touch up and clean up….as we hope you may have noticed.  Let us know if we’ve missed something.

We realize our early success is a result of the hard work of many, but primarily YOU, our Clients and friends.

We like what we do and we value you all.   Thank you for your continued support,

Cathy and Jeff

First Quarter 2009

Monday, January 26th, 2009

Hello again Friends & Clients:

We enjoy seeing many of you on a regular basis and hope you’re all well!  Big new announcements in this communication!

WELCOME PAUL PISCAPO, FITNESS EDGE PERSONAL TRAINERS AND FITNESS EDGE CLIENTS!  On 1/1/09, the highly respected Fitness Edge business merged all operations into Foreside Fitness & Tennis, LLC.  Honestly, we’d (FIT) been working on this for over a year.  We share common health pursuits and goals that are certain to strengthen and benefit all.   We are thrilled that you’re all with us!

WE HIT A BIG BUSINESS MILESTONE ON THE FITNESS SIDE!  Our overhead requires a minimum of 450 (annualized monthly average) fitness members to succeed given our current level of services.  We’re very pleased to report, on January 17th, we hit (and passed) the 450 target!  We cannot stress enough how appreciative we are of everyone’s support.  Especially in these difficult economic times.  Thank you so very much.

NEW TENNIS AND RACKETBALL LEAGUES STARTING!  Tennis continues to provide a strong and solid contribution to our operations.  We’re offering new singles leagues.  And watch for a new flex-racketball league coming soon!

We continue to upgrade and improve our facility.  While ice-damning and minor flooding have given us recent trouble; we want to assure everyone that we’re aggressively dealing with all issues.  We want FIT to be THE best private Club around!  Please do not hesitate to contact us with any concern.

Try to stay warm!!

Jeff and Cathy.

December Update

Wednesday, December 3rd, 2008

Hello again Clients and friends:

Seasons Greetings!

We all know it is important to take care of ourselves, to be physically active. Gratefully, we are pleased to update you from FIT Management; it appears many of you are doing exactly that!

With three months of full operations behind us, business remains brisk at FIT. Racket sports, leagues, Pro-activity and lessons are in full-swing.  Stronger than anticipated.  Aerobics, Training and Fitness rooms are filling up (some classes are full) and paid Memberships just passed the 360 mark!  We’ve established steady growth in all areas.  And watch for a BIG NEW FITNESS ANNOUNCEMENT coming soon!

We appreciate your business, especially during this soft economy.  And we promise to continue to do our best to update and improve our facility.  In recent weeks; we’ve finally got the upper hand on weather-related leaks that plaqued our property, we made ajustments in locker rooms for security and safety, we further updated heat/air controls, we installed a large drink-cooler and bench seat in the lobby, we installed a second check-in terminal, and we continue to work to enhance our web presence (more to come).

So, thank you again for all your support.  We pledge always to provide you a clean, modern, positive environment.  Do not hesitate to contact us personally.  We really appreciate you and your choice to be with us.  Happy Holidays.

Jeff and Cathy

First Blog Communication & New Opening!

Thursday, August 28th, 2008

Dear Clients, Friends and work partners:

Thank you for your wonderful support, for the useful comments, and, for the fantastic response to our initial opening.  We truly appreciate it.

For well over a year, we have worked hard to develop and bring to you, Foreside Fitness & Tennis, LLC.  We created an initial plan, developed budgets, researched numbers, located equipment and systems, capitalized and put our plan into action, rennovated our building, installed our new overhead…and the results are what you see.  And it appears you do like what you see!

Opening business, by all accounts, has been very brisk.  Costs are high too, but we are exceeding our goals on the Tennis side.  And we’ll continue to work to (better) develop leagues, lessons and new programs.  On the Fitness side, we’ve quickly established a steady pattern of growth.  Aerobics classes attendance is strong.  And we just passed the 250 paid-clients mark.  Stay tuned.

We pledge to you, to manage our operations to the best of our abilities.  We will stay aware of top industry trends and cutting edge techniques.  We will treat you respectfully, politely and with “the best health” in mind at all times.  We will keep our facilities clean.  Please make sure to let us know if you have a concern or see a need for any change.  We want to hear from you.

Very truly yours,

Jeff & Cathy
